Planning to move to Tata Sky from D2h

Hello Guys

I am planning to move to Tata Sky from Videocon D2h. Need your suggestions and inputs as to,
- the picture clarity of TS is better than D2h?.
- 1080i in TS vs 1080p in D2h: does this makes a difference in real time?
